Grand Forks farmers market considers indoor expansion proposal
GRAND FORKS — A feasibility study about the Town Square Farmers Market is considering potential indoor locations. While still in the early stages, research is being done to determine what an indoor facility would look like for the traditional summertime event in downtown Grand Forks. Blue Weber, community outreach liaison with Bolton and Menk, has been part of the early process and believes there is capability in the downtown area to house a growing farmers market. The study is intended to act as a feasibility analysis of how possible it is (and) what do they need to bring in revenue in the next five years to make something like this possible? Weber said. The group will be working for the next two years, give or take, to develop new or existing sites in the downtown area. A site analysis is underway and five potential sites are being analyzed. The five will be reduced to two for the eventual report. It s more for our internal working of what the economics are on
