The family of a woman who was allegedly fatally stabbed by her son in Tamarac is pleading for answers. According to the Broward Sheriff s Office, deputies on Friday arrived near the 5300 block of Northwest 28th Avenue after receiving reports of a stabbing. At the scene, deputies found a woman who was suffering from stab wounds, and she was pronounced dead. She was identified as 57-year-old Ylda Cabello-Ynocente. Her son, 28-year-old Manuel Farfan-Cabello, was found and charged with first-degree murder. NBC6 on Saturday spoke exclusively to family members. They said that Farfan-Cabello had battled severe mental illness for years, and described Cabello-Ynocente as a devoted mother and a kind, hard-working woman whose faith and family meant everything to her.
