Jazmine Rhodes used to work for the Memorial Healthcare System. She confessed to using patients’ medical records in a scheme to defraud an insurance company, according to a detective’s report. The patients’ medical records included Broward Health System, Memorial Regional Hospital, Memorial Hospital West, and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, according to a detective’s arrest report. Rhodes had filed claims “using altered medical records ... to obtain reimbursement from her supplemental insurance policy” with Securian Financial, a detective wrote, according to an arrest report. Rhodes, 36, of Plantation, appeared in Broward County court on Thursday. She had been arrested and booked on Wednesday night at the Broward County Main Jail in Fort Lauderdale, according to inmate records. Broward County prosecutors filed a first-degree felony case against Rhodes on Oct. 2, and Broward County Circuit Judge Francis Viamontes issued an order for her arrest, according to court records.
